Sodor Blackout is the twenty-fifth episode of the first season.
Plot
There was a huge lightning storm going on on Sodor. A huge bolt of lightning struck the Sodor Electric Company building. The factory started to shut down. Fires blew out of control. Luckily, the firefighters were able to put the fire out. But the electricity had gone At first, Sir Topham Hatt was worried about Stafford since he's electric, but then remembered that Stafford was alright because he ran on batteries.
Sir Topham Hatt sent Thomas to collect Rocky to tear down the old telephone poles, Toby to collect the workmen to build new ones, and Duck with the new telephone poles. They rushed to the Sodor Electric Company building as soon as possible. Thomas boasted that he was always right on time, but Toby and Duck ignored him.
Rocky was taking down the old telephone poles. His big ball smashed against the old wood. Soon, they were all torn down. Rocky was pleased at doing such a good job. The workmen that Toby had brought were starting to put up the brand new telephone poles. They looked marvelous.
However, Duck wasn't looking where he was going and knocked a telephone pole over! They fell over like dominoes. One by one, the poles crashed into the next one. It was a terrible mess. Luckily, Harvey was nearby and noticed the problem and started to put them back up, but tore them down again though.
Everyone was surprised. Harvey suggested to get metal poles instead of wooden poles. The workmen thought it was good idea, since metal can stand against hurricanes better than wood could.Soon, Sodor was running nicely again; all the homes, electric cars, and hybrid cars had electricity again.
